Will is a historical researcher and family history expert. For the past 4 years, he has variously worked in television, books, family history, house and pub histories.
The founder of the Davis Family Detective Agency in 2017, Will and his team work as family history experts, providing bespoke genealogical research, family trees and crests. Alongside his work with the agency, Will has been a researcher on the BBC’s “Who Do You Think You Are?” and various history documentaries for Channel 4 and 5. He was commissioned by the award-winning journalist and author, Tina Brown, to undertake research for her latest, soon-to-be-published book, a follow up to the widely acclaimed, Diana Chronicles.
Will has also created two podcasts: B Listers of History Podcast - which handpicks a selection of men and women who were wrongly overlooked by historians and brings their incredible stories to life - and the Cloak and Dagger Podcast (co-hosted with Patrick Courtney) which traces the use of assassination as a political weapon throughout history.
Will spent four years living in Manchester studying for a BA Hons in History and a MA Hons in Medieval and Early Modern History at the University of Manchester.
He lives in London and cycles everywhere.
